Riddle me this, Newgrounds.

Posted by bcdefg123 - April 23rd, 2012

So my Ludum Dare 23 entry (Fish Simulator X, http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/594297) is now rated lower than my Zero-Hour jam entry (sketch|fall, http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/583283) which I literally made in an hour and never improved since. It is impossible to get past 2500 points or so in that game.

Very amusing.

EDIT: Now it's tied with Monkey Lab Tycoon. That game doesn't even WORK.

I have a riddle. Ever notice how in public restrooms, when people don't flush their poo...There is NEVER ANY TOILET PAPER IN THE BOWL!!

WHO ARE THESE PEOPLE!?

Alas, that is yet another eternal mystery.

Uh oh.

i was hoping for a riddle, since this post lacks an actual riddle i will add one: Take me out and strike my head. Once was red is black instead. what am i?

No offense, but I hated the fish simulator game. It's been done so many times before with the noticeable instance being Shark, Shark for the Intellivision. I gave it a low score based on that and the somewhat poor execution. Why couldn't the net pick up the bigger fish?

No offense taken. I didn't allow the net to pick up the bigger fish for balance. If you could get rid of the fish, well, that's most of the danger in the game taken care of for you (the only thing you would have to worry about is the net itself). That is how it would be like now. I could see it working more if the fish took care to avoid the net, which I might want to experiment with...

A MATCH! IT'S A MATCH!

JAZZRIPPLE IT'S A MATCH!!

In Real Life, there is no A for Effort.

If you want a better score, either buy a tablet, learn to draw with a mouse, or hire an artist. You'r programming wasn't bad though. Take my thoughts into consideration.

It was Ludum Dare, so hiring an artist wassn't an option. I'm not really looking for advice either... I know where I need to improve, and what I should frankly quit while I'm ahead :P This post is just pointing out something I find odd. Nothing more, nothing less.
